Special Rules

WARCASTER

  • Dig In(* Action) - Cpt. Traydor can dig a hasty battle position into the ground, gaining cover (+4 DEF) and +4 ARM. Cpt. Traydor remains dug in until he moves or is engaged. Cpt. Traydor cannot dig into solid rock or manmade obstructions.
  • Dodge - When Cpt. Traydor advances, he gains +2 DEF for one ronud.
  • Preperation - At the beginning for the game, after both players have deployed, Cpt. Traydor may advance his speed in inches and dig in.
  • Tough - When Cpt. Traydor takes sufficient damage to be destroyed, roll a die. On a 5 or 6, Cpt. Traydor is not destroyed. He is reduced to one wound and is knocked down.
  • Weapon Master - Cpt. Traydor rolls an additional dice on all melee damage rolls.
  • Wet Works - Cpt. Traydor may make an melee strike against every model in his front arc with both of his Trench Knives. His front arc is extended in a 360 degree angle for the purposes of making melee attacks. He may not do this with Trench Knife attacks made by spending focus, or Fixed Bayonet attacks.

Feat

  • Charge Foward, Keep Moving!

Cpt. Traydor's been in many combat situations, many in which a well executed charge would change the tide of battle. When such an opportunity arrives, he takes it immedietly.

All friendly Cygnaran models/units in Cpt. Traydor's control area must charge or run. Trenchers may make this charge a Bayonet Charge. All Friendly Cygnaran models/units roll an additional dice for damage when making melee attacks, and may make an additional melee attack or gain a +2 DEF bonus when advancing for one round. Friendly Cygnaran models/units gain pathfinder for the turn.

You may place one 3"x5" trench template anywhere completely in Cpt. Traydor's control area. This template is not required to be placed at least 3" from another terrain feature, but may not be placed on another terrain feature. Models completely within the trench template have cover (+4 DEF) when targeted with a ranged or magic attack by a model not completely inside the trench template and do not suffer blast damage from attacks unless the center of the AOE is within the trench template. When drawing line of sight to a model not completely within the template, ignore intervening models completely within the template.

Mud Clogged 3 10 - - X
Target warjack loses power to one system, and may not use that system. Mud Clogged is a continuous effect. At the beginning of your turn, roll a d6. On a 1-2, you lose Mud Clogged. On a 3-6, Mud Clogged stays.
Mud Sport 3 10 - - X
Target model hit suffers Blindness for one round. Blind models cannot make ranged or magical attacks, suffer -4 MAT and DEF, cannot charge, run, or slam, and must forfeit either movement or action during activation.

Concept Notes

Well, when I made the 95th Trencher Company, I figured it'd be plain without its own warcaster. Therefore, Cpt. Tact Traydor was born. For his model, if you plan on using him, I suggest a modded Finn model. I have no clue how I would go about doing that, but I'm sure SOMEONE can. >.>

Playtesting Notes

As a playtester (not the creator), I've gotta say, he's really, really weak. Amazingly squishy, if someone has def 13, even 15 with moving, their armor better be higher than 15?!. Even as a trencher, he should have warcster armor, no? He is a melee beatstick, but 5 focus really hurts. I'd say bump up his focus to 6, give him a 5th spell, maybe even a generic one like deadeye. He is, essentially, a super solo with limited buffing capability, who is amazingly squishy and killable if used as a super solo and not a buffer.
