Description
Epic Vayl, Voice of Everblight, Legion of Everblight Blighted Nyss WARLOCK CHARACTER
Vayl did not join in the attack of the Castle of Keys. She distracted the Khadoran army, allowing Thagrosh to move south, and then continued into Tharn Ravager lands to rejoin the army. Unfortunatley, her attack was foiled by the untimely arrival of Kruegar. Vayl was forced to retreat. Her army passed through a cave filled with crystals, and Vayl sensed a great power there. She arrived back in the north, and waited for Thagrosh. When he returned, with Rhyas, Saeryn, Lylyth, and the others, she told them about her discovery. Thagrosh was pleased and ordered her to return there and bring several crystals back. Vayl harvested the crystals, and the Nyss craftsman created a beautiful crystalline staff. Vayl affixed the Oracalus in between, and she felt changed. Her divinitory powers were converted by the charged crystal into powerful ice spells, although the Oracalus left a contingency that allowed her to see into the future. Shortly after, The Shadow of Everblight returned with great news. The body of Nyssor had been found, along with many unblighted Nyss in the city of Korsk. Unfortunatley, the Empress had taken the Scyir of Winter for herself, and locked him away in some unknown vault. Vayl felt compelled to bring Nyssor back, before he was destroyed by the impure humans. She petitioned Thagrosh to go and retrieve Him. He let her, giving her new powers as His Voice. Her powers over ice have increased, allowing her to control the Northern Lights and loose terrifying storms of hail and ice. Her powers over beast has increased also, allowing her to turn her spawn into beings of pure crystal and inspire them with unholy words of strength. Along with the Shadow, Vayl heads to Korsk, leaving behind the frozen corpses of the foolish that have faced her.
Special Rules
Vayl
- Snow Wreathed - Vayl always has concealment
- Unparalleled Control - When a friendly Legion warbeast frenzies in Vayl's CNTRL area, it never attacks friendly Legion models.
- Warbeast Bond - One non-unique warbeast may begin the game bonded to Vayl. Vayl may force the warbeast for one additional fury point while it is in her CNTRL area. That warbeast has spellbound. When Vayl casts a spell, and the warbeast is in her CNTRL area, the spell's RNG may be measured from the bonded warbeast instead of Vayl. Vayl must have LOS to her target, and all modifiers are based on Vayl's LOS. Spells with a RNG of SELF can not benefit from Spellbound
Equivocate
- Critical Foresee - When Vayl succesfully hits on a critical hit with equivocate, Vayl gains +3 DEF against that model for one round.
- Reach - 2" Melee Range.
- Runed Staff - Vayl may upkeep one of her upkeep spells in play without spending a fury point.
Pure Cruelty
- Arcane Fury - Pure Cruelty attacks must be made using Vayl's FURY stat.
- Malice - Add +1 to the damage roll for each fury or focus point on the target model.
Feat
- Cascade of Ice
Vayl has mastered the fury of winter. She raises her staff in the air and the Oracalus glows. Her enemies are covered in rime, slowing them down, and interfering with their aim. They become frigid, and crack when the fangs of spawn and swords of warriors strike their frozen flesh.
Enemy Models currently in Vayl's CNTRL area suffer -2 RAT and DEF, and can't run, charge, or perform power attacks. Furthermore, while in Vayl's CNTRL area, initial melee attacks of friendly Legion models that exceed an enemy model's ARM is doubled. Cascade of Ice lasts for one round.

Concept Notes
One spell is out of the table, because I couldn't get it into the table succesfully, in case you were wondering what that was
I think that they won't include EThagrosh in Metamorphisis, because pp keeps talking about how while Thagrosh recovers.... and so on and so forth. I figured that Vayl would be the next most likely candidate (Ryhas will be in the next book, because she was released so recently, or the book after.)
