Help:How to create a new article

To create an article, follow these steps:

  1. If you haven't created an account or logged in yet, please do so by using the menu at the very top right. Users must be logged in to make edits to the database. Creating an account is very quick, easy, and absolutly free.
  2. Create a new page by going to the address bar on your browser, erasing everything after "...IKwiki.com/" and typing the new title (with no extension like ".com" after it).
    Alternately, you can create a link from any page by typing [[New Page Name]], then clicking on that link.
  3. This will take you to a blank page. Click the Edit tab at the top.
  4. Use one of these templates to create the outline (type the bracketted text into the blank page and save):
  5. Paste the preformatted text, and edit the variables and descriptions.
  6. Categorize your page by adding the category links (usually at the end). Follow these guidelines for the correct way to organize.
  7. Click Show Preview to make sure it looks allright, and/or click the Save Page button.

Viola! Now all you need to do is link to this new page from the appropriate hub. See Help:Hubs for info. You should also add a link on the Main Page under the Newest Additions section for all to see.
