Description

Lady Gilraen Calafalas, Iosan Mercenary Solo

"A week ago I saw her wound a man by striking him with some kind of ray of cold. Last night she pushed a warjack into combat for three solid hours and broke up a horde of skeletons coming at us across a bridge by coating the ground with ice. Remind me not to cross her, come tomorrow."

The maiden standing to the left of you is of a slight build, the top of her head about the height of your shoulder. You can easily tell from her fine features and pointed ears that she is definitely not human. She is smiling slightly, but the smile never seems to reach her eyes like a smile is supposed to do. The girl’s eyes are pure white and seem to stare into nothingness, but betray a very, very subtle shade of blue within their pearlescent depths. Looking to her forehead, you notice a stark blue crescent tattooed into the fair skin, a mark given in return for familial services to her Goddess. Her raven-coloured hair, once long and flowing, is cut to rest in waves over the top of her shoulders. You notice that the ends of her hair are tinged blue, gradually changing to white when the strands end.

Her stance and posture betray one of a noble upbringing. The maiden’s clothes are outlandish, certainly the attire of her homeland, and seem to be made of a light material. Underneath the finely tailored cloak, her dark blue tunic and chainshirt is held tightly to her body by a corset. The tunic is also moulded to her hips by a hip plate on her left that bears a simplified mark, more than likely signifying her House. A scimitar rests on her right hip, but is hidden underneath the dark leather of her cloak. A crossbow is strapped to her back, greatly contrasting to her fine Iosan clothing. Belts adorn her hips and legs, and a small amulet swings from her belt. Her cloak clinks softly as she shifts her weight slightly, and you can tell that vials are being carried within the many pockets sewn into the hem. A small, nondescript pouch that is attached to her belt contains a strange, yet pleasant smell. You guess that it is incense, but you cannot be certain. A small tin whistle swings from her belt as well. Looking back up at her head, a pair of curious-looking goggles rest on her ebony and blue hair.

It’s about this time that she notices you looking at her, frowns a bit and looks at you strangely before walking away to melt into the crowd.

An outcast from the nation of Ios, Lady Gilraen Calafalas walks the roads of Western Immoren. Also known as 'The Black-blooded Maiden', she wields human 'jacks as if they were mere toys, pushing the hulking constructs into battle with a tenacity and skill that borders on the demonic. Any who dare to lay a hand on her are swiftly punished, whether it be from the arsenal of spells she wields, or the mysterious elven blade that rests on her hip.

Special Rules

Lady Gilraen Calafalas

• Pathfinder – Gilraen ignores movement penalties from rough terrain and obstacles. Gilraen may charge across rough terrain.

Weaponry

• Critical – When a Critical occurs, an extra damage die is used for damage. Target suffers POW 12 Damage roll (drowning).

Eerily white glowing blades appear and slice through the target model. The target suffers a POW 12 damage roll. The spell then expires.
Scyrah's Smiling Murderer	4	Caster	12	-	-	X
Gilraen rolls an additional die on melee attack rolls and cannot be targeted by free strikes or ranged magic attacks. Gilraen may alternatively make a melee attack roll against each model in her front arc within melee range. Once the attacks are over she may make up to a 6" movement in any direction.

Concept Notes

Lady Gilraen Calafalas should be play tested similar to Lady Aiyana. The only differences are the spells used, and the introduction of weaponry.
