Hey nice entry three main thoughts though.
One is make her a Privateer Mercenary Warcaster to represent fluff more fully perhaps and two. Get rid of Enchanted and just make her MAT 7. Game wise their is nothing i can see that would make a difference by having the rule on her weapon than on her character. The third is Ysarans teachings is way too expensive for what it does. It is more expensive than flashing blade on Ashyln and is not as impressive concidering her own stats. Perhaps maybe something that instead buffs her melee abilities all round like immune to freestrikes, gains reach and may make an additonal attack this turn? Sort of like Martial Paragon on Evlad but for her instead.
Her feat is fine but define what is meant by an additonal free strike? Does that mean to free strike twice. Duelist also needs to get renamed because an abilty of called Duelist exists and does something diffrent. How about, Breathing Room or One on One instead.
Lifeline is characterful and so is Charasmatic. Her offensive spells and protective buff spell are also good.
I feel she needs some inherit combo's or other talent tucked in their to make her special. Her husband has a few more little strategies going with his character, she has alot of skills that dont always come together so easy or are a bit simple in terms of their in game effects.
The final descion is yours, keep up the good work.

Thanks, Biggins. I appreciate the help. Changed Ysaran's Lesson, the feat and Duelist (One-on-One is an awesome name for it!). Also, MAT is now 7. She's going to hit well in melee, but needs something additional to make her hit harder... any thoughts? And is FOC 5 enough? Or balanced? Cheers!

Couple things that need addressing:
1) She has 6 spells, yet she is a 5 Focus caster. She needs to either gain a point of focus or lose a spell.
2) The Riposte rule you have written differs from the commonly used version. A new name is required, or using the stock version of riposte.
3) Continuous effects always expire on a roll of 1 or 2. You should also note that what you have written is near identical to Fire. Why not get more creative?
4) Avebger is far too powerful for what it costs. POW 15 + 3" AOE POW 8 blasts is a massive effect. If you decide to drop a spell, I recommend this one.
5) Lifeline is incredibly powerful, and makes absolutely no sense for this character. You are talking about having individuals fight on after death, something only people like the Testament, High Reclaimer, and Hexeris can claim fluffwise. It fits a close second for a dropable spell.
Thoughts:
Not bad really. Don't know why you'd ever choose this caster over Ashlynn though. To me at least, it seems like you tried to create a caster with an Ashlynn-esque flavor in the form of dueling. It seems heavily weighed down though by strange and often outright conflicting battlefield roles combined in the same individual. JAck of all trades is okay, but a caster is supposed to form the core of the army. Each caster does something which defines them and their role on the field. Rachel doesn't really have any of that, and it seems more scattered pieces than a greater whole.
