Description
THYSRAE, CORRUPTER OF EVERBLIGHT, WARLOCK CHARACTER
Before the coming of Everblight, The Aeryn tribe ruled the Nyss and were the servants of the deity Nyssor. The greatest healer of them all was Thysrae, and she was beloved by all. However, on the eve that Thagrosh tore the Athanc out of its icy prison, and became the Abomination, Thysrae became afflicted with the Pale Wasting, a disease that leaches the host's life force, making the host paler with each day. The Nyss did not know how to cure the disease,and so sealed Thysrae deep benath Nyssor's shrine behind a stone slab.
The Aeryn tribe kept Thysrae's illness a secret, yet the Betrayer Vayl found out through her many spies. When she joined with Everblight, the knowledge of Thysrae passed to Thagrosh. The Dragon was intrigued, and wanted to see what the Athanc could do to disease. After Nyssor's shrine was sacked, Thagrosh and his Chosen ventured deep into the earth and unleashed Thysrae. Thagrosh finally managed to convince her that by accepting the athanc, she would be healed. Thysrae accepted.
The Athanc cured Thysrae, but it changed her magic, and strengthened her. After a period of training with Vayl, Thysrae was ready. Thagrosh crafted a claw bracer out of Nyssian blades and Dragon bones, and enchanted it so that it would deliver His blighted touch. Thysrae's long knife, previously named Succor, was also changed by the blight. It was renamed Strife which was modified and formed into a harness, and attached to her hand. She rarely takes the blade off now. In combat, Thysrae and her forces resembles a roiling plague. It sweeps in, and ravages the forces, until the army is destroyed.Her army acts as one, never fleeing, and acting in perfect unison. Thysrae's spells have changed to match the disease that ravaged her. At a whim, she can cause horrible, but shortlived blight to manifest on her enemies, or strike them down with painful internal growths. She can also imbue her own followers with a rage virus, that causes them to kill her enemies in a frenzy, until the virus overcomes them, but Thysrae does not care. Only the desperate screams of her enemies, as plague overcomes them brings a spark to her blighted heart. Soon the North will be little more than a ravaged wasteland, filled with diseased human corpses, and an unstoppable Blighted army, marching south.
Special Rules
Thysrae
- Elite Force - At the beginning of the game, Thysrae's controller selects one friendly non character Legion unit. They must be deployed in her CMD range. This unit gains fearless as long as they are in her front arc, and in her CMD range
Dragon Talons
- Critical Blight - On a succesful critical hit against a warjack or warbeast with Dragon Talons, that model suffers a -2 penalty to ARM. Critical Blight lasts for one round.
Strife
- Critical Disease - On a succesful critical hit, target model suffers disease. Disease is a coninuous effect that deals d3 points of damage to a living model during the maintenance phase. Disease expires during the Maintainance Phase on a roll of 1 or 2.
Feat
- Viral Outbreak
Using the ancient Draconic tongue of Tkra, combined with Aeric, Thysrae unleashes a terrible disease upon her warriors that augments them, making them feral, almost beast like. It makes them hit more accuratley, and harder to kill. However, it will eat its way through the host's immune system, killing unfortunate recipients of His Majesty.
Every friendly non warlock Legion model who is in Thysrae's CNTRL area when she uses her feat gains rage. A model with rage may charge and make power attacks (If able) with out being forced or given an order. The model's charge attack roll is boosted. After all attacks with a model suffering from rage is done, roll a dice. on a 1 or 2, that model takes d3 damage points, and may not benefit from tough when this happens. In addition, all friendly Legion models other than Thysrae in her CNTRL area gain tough. Viral Outbreak lasts for one round

Reccomended models to use are Saeryn, Acolyth, and the Shepherd.
Playtesting Notes
From what I've heard on the privateer press forums, Thysrae 's feat used with incubi is amazing
1) Pop her feat 2) Have swordsmen charge with boosted attack + damage (Weapon master) rolls 3) something like 30% will die from the feat, and then 3 incubi pop out and kill more people =)
I'll be testing her out on saturady. I'll keep you all posted
