Description
THYSRAE, CORRUPTER OF EVERBLIGHT, WARLOCK CHARACTER
Before the coming of Everblight, The Aeryn tribe ruled the Nyss and were the servants of the deity Nyssor. The greatest healer of them all was Thysrae, and she was beloved by all. However, on the eve that Thagrosh tore the Athanc out of its icy prison, and became the Abomination, Thysre became afflicted with the Pale Wasting, a disease that leaches the host's life force, making the host paler with each day. The disease also had the insidious side effect of eroding away parts of the victim's body, leaving the victim with a decayed appearance, and wracking them with indescribable agony. The Nyss did not know how to cure the disease, and so sealed Thysrae deep benath Nyssor's shrine behind a stone slab. The Aeryn tribe kept Thysrae's illness a secret, yet the Betrayer, Vayl found out through her many spies. When she joined with Everblight, the knowledge of Thysrae passed to Thagrosh. The Dragon was intrigued, and wanted to see what the Athanc could do to disease. After Nyssor's shrine was sacked, Thagrosh and his Chosen ventured deep into the earth and unleashed Thysrae. While she proved difficult to sway, even attacking Everblight's chosen at one point, Thagrosh finally managed to convince her that by accepting the athanc, she would be healed. Thysre accepted. The Athanc cured Thysre, but it changed her magic, and strengthened her. She still bears the scars of her affliction, with her chin, several fingers, toes, and even half an ear halted in the process of decomposing. She bears these scars with pride, and uses them as psychological weapons against her enemies. After a period of training with Vayl, Thysrae was ready. Thagrosh crafted a massive set of claws from the rotting remains of a Carnivean, named it Atrophy and enchanted it so that it would deliver His blighted touch. Thysrae's long knife, previously named Succor, was also changed by the blight. It was renamed Strife which was modified and formed into a harness, and attached to her hand. She rarely takes the blade off now.
In combat, Thysrae and her forces resembles a roiling plague. It sweeps in, and ravages the forces, until the army is destroyed. Her army acts as one, never fleeing, and acting in perfect unison. Thysrae's spells have changed to match the disease that ravaged her. At a whim, she can cause horrible, but shortlived blight to manifest on her enemies, or strike them down with a diseased rain of gore and blood. She has created many new diseases that she spreads by her magic, though one of her most devestating is a short lived bacteria that alters the very genetic structure of a creature or warjack so that it temporarily becomes weaker. She can also infect her followers with pure rage, causing them to become feral and bestial until the shor.tlived virus dissipates painfully but Thysrae does not care. Only the desperate screams of her enemies, as plague overcomes them brings a spark to her blighted heart. Soon the North will be little more than a ravaged wasteland, filled with diseased human corpses, and an unstoppable Blighted army, marching south.
